The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant restrictions on our life together as a church community. Though we are now able to open our doors for public worship again, we are very concerned to do so in a way that is safe, and that does not unintentionally exclude any members of our community.
At present, our main service each Sunday happens online via our YouTube channel. We go live every Sunday at 10:15am; the service itself starts at 10:30 and lasts 45-50 minutes.
During the service, we run a Sunday School via Zoom video chat, for children up to age 11: Bible stories, games, singing, colouring, craft, and time for the children to say hello and share what they've been up to during the week. All our Zoom meetings are protected with a password and Zoom's waiting room function, and all our Sunday School leaders are DBS checked. Please get in touch for more information about joining in.
After the service, we gather via Zoom to greet each other and socialise. Details of our Sunday Zoom gatherings are available on each service's live-stream page. For help getting onto Zoom, please click here.
Besides our 10.30am service online, we have also re-started our 8am service on Sunday morning, as well as our midweek service, Wednesday morning at 10.30am. These services are either Morning Prayer or Holy Communion; details are sent out in the weekly email.
Attendees at these services need to wear a face covering at all times, keep 2 metres distance from anyone not in their immediate household or bubble, and leave their contact details for the government's COVID-19 contact tracing programme.
As a church we are eager to offer support and practical help to any in our community who may need it.
